Even though the plot is some what predictable, it is overall enjoyable for many kids. There are morals to learn, and the fight between good and evil is very apparent, never confusing one for the other.Bad
They use their 'inner chi' to gain somewhat super powers, not unlike the X-men. There is a character called Bubba that resembles a witch, but she only appears in a few episodes, and is a good character. A 'god-like' character is the dude who gives mortals a second chance, tells them where they will spend eternity etc. The aim of the show is to collect all seven dragon balls, in which a dragon shall appear and grant the person a wish. That is about the extent of sorcery.

Ceredwyn Tatania: Has the good against evil, teaches not to fight if it is not necessary. Still, with the above mentioned, very violent.
Joseph: Action, fighting, martial arts, are the draws to this show. The fight
between good and evil isn't the overly done good guy beats up a bunch of weak
and dumb bad guys and saves the day without damaging his/her preety face. The
characters in this series really have to struggle to win, and at times they
lose. You actually believe the characters are in danger. No other show
live-action or cartoon does this as great as DBZ. [However, it is] 10% action 90% filler. The show's ADDICTING! The episodes are shorter
than those of other shows. And the few minutes of episode they do have is spent
in power ups, annoying humor, or other pointless uses of time designed to milk
four main ideas (Saiyan,Frieza, Cell,& Buu sagas) for everything they're worth.
The action and danger are the only draws. Overall the writing for this show
STINKS. And the fact that for a half-hour show one only gets maybe five-minutes
of solid entertainment the show leaves one unsatisfied. This leads to addiction
to the show. It's like a drug. My advice is don't watch the show unless you
preset your VCR and tape ALL the episodes and then you can watch everything at
once. DON'T waste your life watching this show for half an hour each day for
only 5 minutes of entertainment an episode. This show is a WASTE OF TIME. Tape
the shows if you're addicted, but don't watch it everyday. Better yet, don't
watch it all.
Give God that half an hour not DBZ. Just don't love this show more
than you love God.
